Ingredietns:
1/2 lb (200g) Bamboo shoot (boiled)
1/3 lb             Shrimp (shelled and devined)
1/2 small       Onion
4 tbsps          Cornstarch
1/3 tsp          Salt
1 tbsp           Soy sauce
1 tbsp           Sugar
1 tbsp           Sake
8 sticks        Asparagus
1/2 Med.      Lemon
2 cups          Oil
1/4 tsp          Salt

Preparation:
1. Grate boiled bamboo shoot finely.  Finely chop shrimp into tiny pieces.  Cut onion into tiny pieces, place in bowl and sprinkle cornstarch. 

2. Mix in bamboo shoot, shrimp, 1/3 tsp salt, soy sauce, sugar, and sake and mix well

3. Cut off the bottom  part of asparagus then cut asparagus into half.  In a deep fry pan, heat oil to 175 deg. C.  Using a spoon, scoop a spoon full of mixture and carefully place in the hot oil to fry.  Fry for 2-3 minutes.  Remove and place on paper towel to drain oil. 

4. On a frying pan, fry green asparagus and sprinkle with 1/4 tsp of salt.  Garnish with lemon and serve.
