Ground Beef with Mixed
Vegetables

(Yield: 6 Servings)

RecipeIngredients:
1/2 lb of ground beef (or 1 pk Hamburger Helper)
1 bag (16oz) mixed vegetables
1 tbsps Vegetable oil
1/2 tsp Salt
1 dash White pepper
1 tsp Cornstarch
1 tsp Sesame oil
1/4 C Chicken broth
1 tbsps Finely chopped garlic
1/2 c chicken broth
2 ts cornstarch dissolved in 1/3 c water
Preparation:
1. Combine & mix ground beef, 1 tbs vegetable oil, the salt, sesame oil, and
white pepper a bowl. Cover and set aside for 30 minutes.
3. When beef is marinated, heat 12-inch skillet or wok until
very hot. Add 2 tbs vegetable oil; rotate skillet to coat bottom.
4. Add ground beef; stir-fry 2 minutes or until beef is brown.
Remove beef from skillet and set aside. Heat skillet until very hot. Add 1 tbs
vegetable oil; rotate skillet to coat bottom. Add garlic, stir-fry 30 seconds.
5. Add mix vegetables; stir-fry 1 minute. Add chicken broth. Stir in cooked ground
beef. Mix well and cook for 1 minute. Stir in cornstarch mixture; cook and mix until
sauce thickened. Serve with steam rice. |
